Alpha Phi Alpha

Good afternoon, Beloveds!

Exciting news: Beloved Streets of America is officially connecting with Martin Luther King’s undergrad fraternity, Alpha Phi Alpha!

Founded in 1906, they were the first Greek-lettered, intercollegiate fraternity for African Americans and in 1945 they became the first to integrate. Dr. King was an Alpha  during his time at Morehouse College in 1944.There, he received the mentoring and education to help him grow into the civil rights activist and icon he became.

Other famous Alpha Phi Alpha alumni include W.E.B. DuBois, Adam Clayton Powell, Jr., Edward Brooke, Thurgood Marshall, and Andrew Young. Today, they continue to raise strong young men into leaders!

As fellow humanitarians, we promote them, and are honored to call them friends!

Stay tuned for news of collaborations and events!
